After Quicksliver's death, and proliferated by Magneto's infuence, Wanda Maximoff would be inconsolable, and would eventually have a breakdown that lead to her creating an alternate universe in a hallucination shared by everyone on the planet, where mutants were the dominant beings.
This was immediately followed by an attack by Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen. They were also defeated, but not without the loss of Jean Grey and Angel.
